What Berkeley expects
Statistics B.A. (CDSS)
- Courses to finish
Lower-division requirements are Math 51, 52, 53, Math 54 or 56, and Stat 20 or Data C8, and only the linear algebra course from an ASSIST Math 54 series is needed. Source
- Selection
All five lower-division courses must be letter-graded with a 2.0 minimum GPA across them and at least a C in Math 53, Math 54 and Stat 20 or Data C8. Source
- Also note
Transfers apply to Statistics through CDSS and are admitted already declared in the major, as of Fall 2024. Source
CDSS does not admit undeclared students, and transfers admitted Fall 2024 or later cannot pursue a simultaneous degree or switch to Computer Science. Other changes within or into CDSS require comprehensive review. Source
- Every Berkeley major
Every Berkeley college requires at least 60 semester (90 quarter) UC-transferable units by the end of the spring term before fall enrollment, and major preparation is listed on ASSIST and in the Berkeley Catalog. Source
