Local admission area
CPP's transfer page says applicants to impacted majors get local preference if most units or an ADT came from a local area community college, and all veterans get it too. Chaffey and Rio Hondo students get additional consideration. The page gives no year, and CPP's 2027-28 impaction proposal changes the local area (see facts).
ADT and the Transfer Success Pathway
A similar ADT counts as a 0.1 GPA bump for impacted majors and 0.2 for non-impacted majors in CPP's multifactor model. For impacted majors the ADT curriculum replaces the supplemental course requirements. An ADT does not guarantee admission.
CPP offers TSP guaranteed admission, with an application period of August 1 to November 30, 2026. Animal Health Science, Animal Science, Architecture and Music (B.M.) are not available, and some high-demand majors such as Computer Science have limited capacity.
Dates for fall 2027
For fall 2027, applicants can start the Cal State Apply application on August 1, 2026, and can submit it starting October 1, 2026. The priority filing deadline is November 30, 2026. CSU says many campuses and majors still accept applications after the priority period.
