The CSU Local Admission and Service Areas list (updated September 2026, the current version during the Fall 2027 cycle) shows Stanislaus as not impacted for upper-division transfers, with the whole state of California as its local admission area. Stan State's articulation office states it admits all CSU-eligible transfers.

Local admission area

Because Stanislaus is not impacted for upper-division transfers, its local admission area is the entire state of California on the CSU list updated September 2026. The CSU lists Calaveras, Mariposa, Merced, San Joaquin, Stanislaus and Tuolumne counties as the service area, which is used for outreach and does not change admission at a non-impacted campus.

ADT and the Transfer Success Pathway

The CSU Admission Handbook 2027-2028 states that community college students who earn an AA-T or AS-T and meet CSU minimum requirements are guaranteed admission with junior standing and priority consideration. Once admitted, they only need 60 more prescribed units. A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA applies.

Stan State offers the Transfer Success Pathway with more than 40 eligible majors. Health Science and Nursing are not eligible. The campus lists sign-up from August 1 to November 30, 2026 for students starting community college in fall 2026.
