What you need
- Apply through the Common Application with a $70 fee or a fee waiver request. Pitzer is test-free through the 2026-2027 cycle and does not accept SAT or ACT scores. Source
- Applicants need a high school diploma or GED and at least one completed semester or two completed quarters of college credit by the application deadline. No minimum GPA is listed. Source
- Required items are official transcripts from every college attended, a College Report, a faculty recommendation from a college professor or teaching assistant and the Pitzer Writing Supplement. A high school transcript is also needed for applicants with fewer than 32 semester or 48 quarter units. Source
- California community college students are encouraged to complete IGETC coursework. First-year writing and coursework in the humanities, math, social science and science are recommended. Source
- Up to 64 semester units or 96 quarter units can transfer from a community college. Source
- Students must complete at least two years of study at Pitzer to earn a Pitzer degree. Source
