What you need
- Transfers use Pacific's own online application and select the Transfer student type. An August 2025 Pacific guide to the application does not mention the Common App. Source
- Pacific states there is no IGETC requirement and no minimum unit requirement for transfer admission. Source
- Applicants with fewer than 30 transferable units must also send high school transcripts. The catalog adds SAT or ACT scores for this group. Source
- The catalog sets no general minimum GPA. Applicants must be in good academic standing and show ability in their intended major. Source
- Pacific accepts up to 70 units of community college credit, and courses graded C- or lower do not transfer. Source
- Pacific recommends that California transfers follow the CSU GE or UC IGETC pattern. A GE plan built only to earn an associate degree does not by itself meet Pacific GE requirements. The page does not mention Cal-GETC. Source
ADT pathway
A July 2020 Pacific news article says ADT students can receive guaranteed acceptance at Pacific through the statewide AICCU and California Community Colleges ADT agreement. Current admission pages (checked October 2026) do not restate the guarantee or its terms, so confirm with admissions.
Scholarships and aid
- The Transfer Academic Excellence scholarship is worth $20,000 to $30,000 per year for admitted transfer students. No separate application or FAFSA is required. Source
- Transfer merit awards renew for up to three years in total with full-time enrollment (12+ units per semester) and satisfactory academic progress. Pacific Global transfer students are not eligible. Source
More from Pacific
- Pacific admits transfers for spring as well as fall. Dental Hygiene has a separate August 15 spring deadline. Source
- Community college courses cannot replace upper-division courses at Pacific. Once a student reaches 70 units from all schools, no more community college credit is accepted. Source
- Pacific keeps articulation agreements with several area community colleges, including San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton (July 2020 article). Source
