GPA lines by major
Every major covered by UC Irvine’s TAG needs at least a 3.40 UC-transferable GPA.
Fall 2028 TAG will also exclude several engineering majors, Biological Sciences, Economics and Psychology, so a TAG filed while your major still qualifies is worth more than it looks.
Majors TAG doesn’t cover
- All ICS majors (incl. CS, Data Science)
- Business Administration
- Nursing Science
- Art, Dance, Music
Students in these majors can still apply to UC Irvine through regular review.
