What you need

  • Apply through the Common Application or the Coalition Application on Scoir. Pomona states it has no preference between them. Source
  • Applicants must complete at least one year of full-time college work at a regionally accredited institution by the expected enrollment date. Applicants who already hold a bachelor's degree are not accepted. Source
  • The application requires three essays, official college and final high school transcripts, a College Report or Transfer Report, a Mid-Term Report and two academic evaluations from college instructors. Testing is optional. Source
  • There are no minimum course requirements, but completing general education (Breadth of Study) courses before transferring is recommended. Source
  • Admitted transfers enter as sophomores or juniors with 8 to 16 course credits, and the maximum transferable credit is 16 courses. Courses generally transfer if taken in person at a regionally accredited institution with a grade of C or better and comparable to a Claremont Colleges course. Source
  • Transfer students must complete at least four full-time semesters at Pomona to earn the B.A. Source

Scholarships and aid

  • Pomona states that financial aid meets 100% of demonstrated need. Applicants must apply for aid at the time they apply for admission. Source
  • The $80 application fee is waived for financial aid applicants who complete the Pomona Access Pass form. Source
