Impaction at CSU Dominguez Hills

The CSU Local Admission and Service Areas list (updated September 2026, the current version during the Fall 2027 cycle) shows Dominguez Hills as not impacted for upper-division transfers, with the whole state of California as its local admission area. Any CSU-eligible transfer applicant is considered on the same basis unless the chosen major has its own limits.

Local admission area

Because Dominguez Hills is not impacted for upper-division transfers, its local admission area is the entire state of California on the CSU list updated September 2026. The CSU lists Los Angeles County as the service area, which is used for outreach and does not change admission at a non-impacted campus.

ADT and the Transfer Success Pathway

The CSUDH 2025-2026 catalog states that community college students who earn an AA-T or AS-T are guaranteed admission with junior standing to a CSU. They also get priority over other transfer applicants at a local CSU or in a non-impacted program.

All 22 CSU universities take part in the Transfer Success Pathway, but each university decides which programs are eligible. Nursing and programs that require a portfolio or audition may not be eligible.
