Impaction at Chico State

Chico State has no campus-wide impaction for first-year or upper-division transfer applicants in 2027-28. Only basic nursing and the recording arts option in the BA in Music are impacted.

The CSU's September 2026 local admission chart lists Chico's upper-division transfer local admission area as Not Impacted: State of California. Its outreach service area is Butte, Glenn, Lassen, Modoc, Plumas, Shasta, Siskiyou, Sutter, eastern Trinity, Tehama and Yuba counties.

ADT and the Transfer Success Pathway

Chico State's online catalog (no year shown) says AA-T and AS-T holders are guaranteed admission with junior standing to a CSU and get priority over other transfers for non-impacted programs. For impacted programs they get limited priority based on eligibility ranking.

For fall 2027, applicants can start the Cal State Apply application on August 1, 2026, and can submit it starting October 1, 2026. The priority filing deadline is November 30, 2026. CSU says many campuses and majors still accept applications after the priority period.
