- Courses to finish
The 2025-26 Environmental Engineering program lists lower-division Chem 1A/1AL, Biology 1B, Data C8, Math 51, 52, 53, 54, Physics 7A, CE 11, 70, 93, Engineering 7, a basic science elective, and R&C A and B, and it includes a transfer program table. Source
The 2026-27 Environmental Engineering Science program lists lower-division Chem 1A/1AL or 4A, Math 51, 52, 53, 54, Physics 7A and 7B, three basic science electives, CE 11, Engineering 7 and CE C30, and it schedules Engineering 7 and CE C30 in the transfer program. Source
- Selection
For Environmental Engineering Science, the Engineering Science program says successful transfers generally have a 3.5 or higher overall GPA, and missing any required ASSIST course makes an applicant ineligible. Source
- Campus rule
A 3.5 minimum GPA by the end of the fall you apply. IGETC won’t prepare you for the major. Source
- Also note
The College of Engineering does not admit undeclared transfers, does not consider an alternate major, does not let transfers change majors after admission, and allows five semesters to graduate. Source
- Every Berkeley major
Every Berkeley college requires at least 60 semester (90 quarter) UC-transferable units by the end of the spring term before fall enrollment, and major preparation is listed on ASSIST and in the Berkeley Catalog. Source
UC’s shared course list
UC’s Environmental engineering Transfer Pathway lists the courses that prepare you for this major at every campus, UC Berkeley included. Where Berkeley’s own list above asks for more, follow the campus.
