The UC Biological Sciences Transfer Pathway, new for fall 2027 and listing Berkeley MCB and IB, expects a full general biology sequence with lab, a year of general chemistry with lab, a year of STEM calculus, and a year of organic chemistry with lab. Source

Starting Fall 2027, transfers offered admission to Letters and Science are admitted directly into the major selected on the UC application, with no separate declaration process. Source
