The ADT for nursing
Nursing isn’t on the list of Associate Degrees for Transfer. Nursing programs run their own supplemental applications with prerequisite GPAs, entrance tests and points.
At some campuses a similar ADT also adds to your GPA in competitive review: Cal Poly Pomona, Cal State LA, CSULB, SDSU, SF State describe a 0.1 boost on their own pages, each with its own conditions.
Building a balanced list
- Campus-wide impacted campuses rank every applicant: Cal Poly SLO, Cal State Fullerton, CSULB, SDSU, SJSU. Apply to at least one campus where nursing isn’t impacted.
- Impacted programs often favor local-area applicants. Check the local area on each campus page.
- Major prep courses count as much as GPA in impacted programs. Finish them by the end of spring before you transfer.
