What you need
- Transfer applicants can use either Westmont's own application or the Common App. Both are free and Westmont states no preference. Source
- Westmont does not require a set number of completed units before a transfer applies. Applicants with fewer than 24 semester or 36 quarter units must also send an official high school transcript. Source
- Transfer applicants need one academic reference from a teacher in a major subject plus official college transcripts. Source
- Westmont says the vast majority of college-level academic credit transfers, including IGETC or CSU Breadth coursework. The page does not mention Cal-GETC. Source
- Westmont's 2022-2023 Common Data Set lists a maximum of 64 credits transferable from a two-year college and C- as the lowest transferable grade. Source
Scholarships and aid
- Westmont's transfer guide (posted December 2025) lists the President's Scholarship at $20,000, the Kerr Scholarship at $15,000 and the Founders Scholarship at $12,000 in its scholarship grid for a 3.75 to 4.00 college GPA. Need-based Westmont Grants are awarded from the FAFSA. Source
- Incoming transfers are awarded academic scholarships based on prior college work and need at least a 3.0 college GPA to qualify. Meeting the scholarship GPA does not guarantee admission. Source
- Westmont says more than 95 percent of first-year and transfer students receive an academic or talent-based scholarship, with the amount based on GPA and overall application quality. Source
