Choose a notice date
The calculation adds calendar days. It does not determine your required notice period.
Use this date in my letterHow the date is calculated
The tool adds the selected number of calendar days to your notice date, treating the notice date as day zero. For example, notice given on September 7, 2026 plus 14 days produces September 21, 2026. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays are included. A result on a nonworking day is left unchanged so you can discuss the actual final working day with your employer.
Before you use the result
- Read your employment agreement and employer policy for the notice process and any requirements that apply to you.
- Confirm when your employer receives the notice and how it counts the period.
- Agree your final date and handover priorities in writing.
- Ask HR separately about final pay, unused leave and benefits.
What should I send after choosing a date?
Use the resignation letter generator for a formal document, or the resignation email generator for a shorter message. Then use the handover checklist to organize the work you leave behind.
