Two Weeks’ Notice Calculator

Add 14 calendar days to the date you give notice. Use the result to propose a final working day, then confirm the date with your employer.

Choose a notice date

The calculation adds calendar days. It does not determine your required notice period.

How the date is calculated

The tool adds the selected number of calendar days to your notice date, treating the notice date as day zero. For example, notice given on September 7, 2026 plus 14 days produces September 21, 2026. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays are included. A result on a nonworking day is left unchanged so you can discuss the actual final working day with your employer.

Before you use the result

This is date arithmetic, not a determination of employment obligations. The University of Washington’s employee checklist illustrates why the final date, work transfer and return of property should be confirmed as separate departure tasks. Its procedures apply to its employees.

What should I send after choosing a date?

Use the resignation letter generator for a formal document, or the resignation email generator for a shorter message. Then use the handover checklist to organize the work you leave behind.
