The short version: your letters are generated in your browser and never sent to us. We don’t have accounts, we don’t want your data, and the only thing stored is your name — on your own device.

Letter content

Everything you type into a generator is processed locally in your browser. Letter content is never transmitted to, stored on, or readable by our servers or anyone else’s. Closing the tab discards it.

Data stored on your device

To save you retyping, the site stores the name you enter in your browser’s localStorage under the key letterready:name. It never leaves your device. Clear it any time by clearing your browser’s site data.

Advertising

This site displays ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or device identifiers to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. Where required, you will be asked for consent, and you can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings. See how Google uses advertising data.

Affiliate links

Some recommendations (marked “Partner link”) are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We only place them where the product genuinely fits the task, and they never influence the letters themselves.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics (page views, referrers) to understand which letters help people most. Analytics never include anything you type.

Third-party sites

Letters and partner links may point to external sites. Their privacy practices are their own; this policy covers only LetterReady.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
